The Website is owned and operated by Inspire Training and Tuition Services Limited, a Tuition Centre registered in the United Kingdom. In this document, “we”, “our”, or “us” refer to Inspire Tuition. This Privacy Policy sets out the basis on which We collect, process and use your personal data. We are committed to protecting your privacy and personal information. Please read this policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, your choice is to not access our Services or Website. By accessing or using the Website, you agree to this privacy policy.
This policy may change from time to time. Your continued use of the Website after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the policy periodically for updates. This Policy also describes the way that Inspire Tuition will, subject to applicable legal requirements, adhere to all relevant federal and provincial legislative privacy requirements including GDPR compliance. The Policy describes each principle and the method of implementing each. Inspire Tuition will strive to meet international and provincial legislative requirements and will ensure that it remains current with changing technologies and laws.
BACKGROUNDInspire Tuition provides students with the best possible environment to learn and improve their academic skills and develop a lasting desire for knowledge. To maintain the current programmes, information is collected by Inspire Tuition, for the purposes of; registering students and tutors; facilitating emergency contacts; facilitating electronic updates/contacts.
IDENTIFYING PURPOSESInspire Tuition shall only collect information necessary to conduct academic programming. Access to our Privacy Policies and procedures will be readily available.
Inspire Tuition collects personal information for the purpose of providing academic training and development to participants, which we endeavour to meet the individual needs of each participant.
Inspire Tuition recognises that tutoring may require knowledge of the student’s academic history. Academic records, academic history, and other relevant forms of the individual may be of assistance in a tutoring situation and as such may be requested. While participants are under no obligation whatsoever to supply this information and may refuse to do so without penalty, Inspire Tuition will consider receipt of this information as consent for its subsequent use in an academic setting.
Inspire Tuition will request individual permission for the use of any data collected which is extraneous to that which has been identified below, unless said usage is authorised or required by law.
All information is kept for the duration of seven years or as long as required to fulfill the purposes identified, unless permission is obtained from the member providing the information to hold it for a different length of time.
Venue tutors will receive the participants’ names, gender, date of birth, telephone number(s), parents/guardians’ names, and email addresses solely to be used for communication and management of the tutoring sessions. All data collected by Inspire Tuition shall be maintained in the Inspire Tuition office.

DATA CONSENTInspire Tuition will use the personal information for the uses specified above.
If at any time you wish to withdraw your consent to the use of your information for any purpose, you may do so by contacting Inspire Tuition Administrative Officer at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and by providing reasonable written notice. Inspire Tuition may collect personal information without consent where reasonable to do so and where permitted by law.
LIMITING COLLECTIONInspire Tuition shall only collect personal information in a fair and lawful manner as set forth in this Privacy Policy.
Inspire Tuition shall not indiscriminately collect information. The amount and type of information collected shall be limited to that which is required to fulfill its identified purposes. We will not use any form of deception in gaining personal information from its members.
DATA USE, DISCLOSURE AND RETENTIONInspire Tuition, and its Members, shall limit the use of personal information collected to purposes that are listed above (Identifying Purposes and Data Consent) and will not disclose the information for other purposes except as authorised or required by applicable law.
Venue tutors will remove, return to Inspire Tuition or destroy any register lists or documentation containing personal participant information once the session or season has been completed.
Inspire Tuition may disclose your personal information to a government authority that has asserted its lawful authority to obtain the information or where the association has reasonable grounds to believe the information could be useful in the investigation of an unlawful activity, or an order made by the court, person, or body with jurisdiction to compel the production of the information or otherwise as authorised or required by applicable law.
Inspire Tuition shall retain documents concerning registration, performance activities, discipline, events and honours, and awards received for specific periods of time dependent upon necessity or destroyed accordingly when it is deemed appropriate. More specifically:
Registration data will be retained for a three-year period after an individual has left Inspire Tuition programs in the event that an individual chooses to return to Inspire Tuition’s programs after leaving.
Parental/Family information will be maintained for a similar three-year period after a member has left our programs.
Other personal information will be retained by Inspire Tuition for regulated timeframes as requested by legislation governing its operation and/or the information provided, after which time (unless consent is given to keep information for a longer period) the information will be destroyed in a secure manner.
If there are no legislative requirements to retain other information it will be kept for a minimum of 24 months from the time it was provided.
DATA ACCURACYInspire Tuition shall strive to ensure to the extent that it can, that the information entrusted to it is maintained in an accurate manner. We shall attempt to maintain the privacy interests of the individual and attempt to ensure that decisions are not made for or about an individual based on personal information that may be flawed.
Inspire Tuition shall only update information if a request is made in writing.
DATA BREACHSecurity safeguards will be implemented to ensure your personal information is protected from theft as well as unauthorised use or access, disclosure, copying, or modification thereof. All information collected by Inspire Tuition will be considered highly sensitive. As such, a high level of security will be practiced at all times.
Methods of protection and safeguards to be employed shall include but in no way be necessarily limited to locked files, offices and storage areas, and need-to-know access as well as technological measures such as passwords.
These measures will be subject to yearly reviews by Inspire Tuition and its Administrative Officer(s) to ensure the best methods possible are being utilized to maximise effectiveness.
DATA REQUESTInspire Tuition publicly discloses the methods by which personal information is handled. This information is readily available through its Privacy Policy, on its website or upon request by contacting Inspire Tuition.

INDIVIDUAL ACCESSUpon request by the individual concerned, subject to applicable legislation, Inspire Tuition shall disclose whether or not it actually holds personal information on an individual. Inspire Tuition shall disclose the source of this information when requested and provide an account of third parties to whom the information may have been disclosed.
Inspire Tuition may request sufficient information to confirm your identity before releasing any personal information to you.
Subject to applicable legislation, Inspire Tuition shall endeavour to provide this information within 30 days of receipt of the request for information and only charge nominal fees for the purpose of satisfying its expenses incurred in the supply of requested information. This information shall be in a format understandable to you.
A member may challenge the accuracy and completeness of the information through written request and any inaccurate information, which may be so validated, shall be corrected and any third parties shall be notified of the corrections as per Consent.
PERSONAL DATA TRANSFERS OUTSIDE OF THE EEAThe EEA includes all EU countries, as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. Where your personal data is transferred to a country outside of the EEA and that country is not subject to an EU adequacy decision, we will ensure your data is protected by appropriate safeguards (for example, EU-approved standard contractual clauses, or a Privacy Shield certification). A copy of the relevant safeguard can be provided for your review on request.
